Chelan Hill Top Studio

The stair treads are suspended between wideflange beams. The top roof plane and bottom floor plane read as  dominant formal elements.

The interior of the studio holds true to the simple open floor plan studio characteristic. Full height glazing connects you to the outdoors. Orthogonal white wall forms beg for art, and light warm woods bring you home.

This custom single-family residence is designed for a site in Chelan, Washington, responding directly to the region's open landscapes, lake views, and high-desert climate. Elevated above a natural meadow, the home minimizes site disturbance while capturing expansive views of Lake Chelan and the surrounding hills — a design approach that defines our work across Chelan County and North Central Washington.

The architecture combines clean lines, natural materials, and a restrained palette of wood, glass, and steel. Floor-to-ceiling glazing maximizes daylight and passive solar gain, while deep roof overhangs provide shading during hot Central Washington summers. The compact, efficient floor plan reflects a high-performance approach to residential design — balancing energy efficiency, modern aesthetics, and long-term durability in a demanding climate.

Interior spaces are deliberately aligned with the landscape, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection that defines the experience of living on Lake Chelan. Every room orients toward the view. Every detail responds to the site.

As residential architects serving Chelan, Manson, Lake Chelan, and greater Chelan County, this project reflects our commitment to custom home design that is site-specific, climate-responsive, and buildable. Our services include feasibility studies, site planning, schematic design, permit drawings, and full construction documentation — delivering architecturally refined homes that are practical to build and designed to last in Chelan's unique high-desert lakefront environment.
