Index is in Snohomish County, Washington, and Refine Design Architecture serves Index and Snohomish County as part of serving all of Washington State. We are a collaborative studio of residential architects based in the Methow Valley, and we also describe ourselves as custom residential architects in Seattle. We have no Index projects to point to, so here is how the Architectural Design Process For Custom Home in Index works, with examples from elsewhere in Washington. In Seattle, we designed an addition to a 100-year-old Craftsman house, keeping its style through matching vertical siding and rooflines. In Winthrop, the River Residence was designed as a fire-wise home with every exterior surface designed to resist ignition. In Chelan, the Hill Top Studio is elevated above a natural meadow to minimize site disturbance. These projects share a starting point: every project begins with a conversation about how the client lives, what they value, and what the site makes possible. That is also where the Architectural Design Process For Custom Home in Index begins, with listening. We offer a free consultation to talk through your vision, site, budget, and options.
