Mercer Island is in King County, Washington, and Refine Design Architecture serves homeowners across Washington State, including here. We do not have Mercer Island projects to show you, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we offer is a clear process that starts with an Architect Consultation. Our consultation and feasibility services are aimed at homeowners considering new construction or a renovation.
In the early stages, an Architect Consultation can include a feasibility study that reviews local building and zoning codes, including height, floor area, setbacks, and critical areas. It can also include site analysis of topography, drainage, access, and zoning restrictions. For an existing home, we can assess the structure to identify challenges or needed improvements. We often prepare a draft site plan showing anticipated locations of major utilities and improvements.
We design custom homes, additions, and cabin retreats. Our additions include home offices, mother-in-law suites, and ADUs. Our project work is elsewhere in Washington, including a remodel and addition for a family home in Bellevue and an addition to a 100-year-old Craftsman house in Seattle. After the consultation, we can take your project through design, permitting, and construction drawings. To start, contact us to schedule a consultation.
